The personal representative I think is a critical person in every estate plan. That person is going to be the person in charge of carrying out the decedents intentions. So if a will says one thing the personal representative is responsible for interpreting that and saying okay, this is what the will says and this is how I’m going to carry it out. It’s important to have a trustworthy person who will administer the estate in a timely manner and consistent with the terms of the will.
