Defending against Claims Made by a Troublesome Employee
An employee with a documented history of performance problems claimed religious discrimination when the employer terminated his employment after a series of costly errors. The employee filed a charge of discrimination with the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. Moss & Barnett was successful in obtaining a finding of no probable cause in the company’s favor, but the employee proceeded to find an attorney and bring a court action. Following interviews with multiple employees, we achieved an attractive settlement when the attorney learned that there were many witnesses that would testify to his client’s performance problems.
