Beyond the Office
When I’m not practicing law, I enjoy spending time with my incredible wife and our two wonderful daughters. I’m also an amateur fitness enthusiast and enjoy running road and obstacle races.
My family surprised me on a recent birthday with an opportunity to operate a CAT 315D Hydraulic Excavator in Dakota County, Minnesota. Take it from me, operating heavy machinery is substantially more difficult than it looks!
Our family recently traveled to France and England for a vacation. In this photo, Tracie and I had to “bundle up” for our visit to Stonehenge. Tracie is my soul mate, and we’ve been married since 1997. We have two dynamic daughters who keep us on our toes.
I took this photo of the Rossman girls in London while pondering whether a pay phone constitutes an automated dialer subject to the TCPA.
Every year I retreat to the backwoods of Colorado for a few days to climb mountains with my uncle who lives there. In this video, I demonstrate proper one-arm pushup technique at the summit of the Maroon Bells Pass at 12,500 feet elevation, while waiting for my uncle to complete the ascent.
I run several road races every year and recently began competing in obstacle and mud races. I train for these races with a local group – we can be found on most Tuesday and Thursday nights flipping tractor tires, swinging sledge hammers, and doing countless chin-up variations. Recently we raced around an area lake while each person carried a car tire.
